Terms of Sale

These terms cover purchases made through the Up & Adam Studios store. They sit alongside our App Terms of Service, which govern how you use the apps themselves, and our Privacy Policy.

Who you are buying from

The apps are made by Up & Adam, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company operating as Up & Adam Studios, at 1985 W Henderson Road #2394, Columbus, OH 43220.

Orders are processed by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as our authorised reseller and merchant of record. Polar is the seller of record for your transaction. That means Polar handles payment, calculates and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt and invoice. Polar will appear on your card or bank statement. Your purchase is also subject to Polar’s own terms as the reseller.

What you are buying

A purchase gives you a license to use the paid features of the named app. It is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel.

Helpings Plus is licensed per household. One purchase covers every member of your Helpings household on every device they use, for personal, non-commercial use, for as long as the app is available. You do not need to buy it again for another person in your household, another phone, or another platform.

Price and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars. Tax is calculated by Polar at checkout based on where you are, and any tax due is shown before you pay. The price on the store page is the price you pay, plus tax where it applies.

Delivery

Your receipt and license key are emailed by Polar immediately after payment. If they have not arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email adam@upandadamco.com and we will resend them.

Unlocking the app itself is currently done by hand, matched to the email address you bought with. That normally happens within a few hours and always within one business day. Please use the same email address in Helpings and at checkout, or tell us which address to look for. If your purchase has not appeared in the app within one business day, email us and we will fix it or refund you.

Refunds and your cancellation rights

You can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, by emailing adam@upandadamco.com. You do not need to explain why. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance purchase. Our 30-day refund window is longer than that period and is offered unconditionally, so you keep the more generous of the two in every case. We do not ask you to waive any statutory right in order to buy.

When a refund is issued, the license is revoked and the paid features stop working. Anything you created in the app, including your recipes, your lists, and your plans, remains yours and stays available on the free tier, and you can export it at any time.

What is included, and what may be sold separately later

Your purchase permanently covers the features listed on the store page at the time you bought it, plus any improvements we make to those features.

We are also building a deeper layer for Helpings that learns how your kitchen cooks, remembers what worked, and proposes your week. If that ships, we may offer it as a separate paid tier. It will not remove or restrict anything your purchase already covers, and it will not change any feature that is free today into a paid one. We are stating this before you buy rather than after.

Acceptable use of license codes

License codes are for your household. Please do not resell, share publicly, or redistribute them. We may deactivate a code that is being distributed or used in a way these terms do not allow.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with your order, please email us first. A refund is faster than a chargeback and we grant them freely. We may deactivate a license that is the subject of a chargeback.

Availability and changes

We may change prices, add products, or stop selling a product at any time. A change never affects a purchase you have already made. If we ever have to discontinue an app entirely, we will say so in advance and make sure you can export your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any consumer right you have under the law of the country you live in.
