What I do
Three service lines, bundled into one relationship: finance operations, grants, and automation. Pricing is shown in ranges and scoped to your size and complexity. Grant work is always a flat fee, never a percentage of the award.

The Financial Operations Assessment
A flat $750–$1,500, about two weeks. I review your books, cash flow, compliance, and the places automation would pay off, then hand you a written roadmap you keep whether or not we work together after that.
If you start a retainer within 30 days, the assessment fee is credited toward your first month.
Finance Operations
Fractional finance for organizations that cannot justify a full-time team. I bring nine-plus years in financial operations, a $30M+ prior budget, and hands-on reconciliation experience, including resolving a $300K trial-balance-to-bank discrepancy.
Starter
$600–$900 / moSole proprietors and micro-orgs that need clean, current books.
- Monthly bookkeeping and categorization
- Bank and credit-card reconciliation
- Monthly close and a one-page summary
Growth
$1,200–$1,800 / moEstablished teams with payroll, AR/AP, or multiple funds.
- Everything in Starter
- AR/AP oversight and deeper monthly reporting
- Cash-flow tracking, budget vs. actual, monthly review call
Fractional CFO
$2,500–$4,000 / moOrganizations at a growth or funding inflection point.
- Everything in Growth
- Forecasting, financial modeling, KPI dashboards
- Capital and lender readiness, board or owner presentations
Grants
The rarest part of what I do. I manage $15M+ in active federal and state grants and work in Uniform Guidance daily. A narrative writer alone is not enough. I build the compliant budget, structure the fund accounting, and manage the award after you win it. Always a flat fee, never a percentage.
Readiness & Strategy
$500–$1,000 flatOrgs unsure whether they are grant-ready or which funders to pursue.
- Funder-fit and readiness review
- Prioritized funder shortlist with deadlines
- Go or no-go recommendation
Full Application Package
$1,500–$4,000 per applicationOrgs with a specific grant to pursue who need it built right.

- Compliant budget and budget justification
- Required attachments and submission support
Post-Award Management
$750–$2,000 / moOrgs that have won funding and must stay compliant.

Compliance / Audit-Readiness

- Compliance review against Uniform Guidance and award terms
- Fund-accounting structure review and gap identification
- Audit-ready documentation and a remediation checklist
Automation & Systems
Automation built on top of correct books and compliant processes. I map the manual steps that eat your week, then build the workflow that removes them, one workflow at a time so you see the time it gives back before committing to the next.
Workflow build
$2,500–$7,500 per workflowTeams drowning in repetitive manual work.
- Discovery of the current manual process
- Design, build, and testing in Make, Power Automate, or Zapier
- Documentation and a training handoff
Tool selection & setup
$750–$2,500 flatOrgs choosing or standing up a core tool.
- Needs assessment and tool recommendation
- Configuration and initial setup (QuickBooks, Airtable, and more)
- Setup documentation and a brief orientation
Automation support
$500–$1,500 / mo (optional)Clients running automations that need monitoring and fixes.
- Ongoing monitoring and maintenance

Workshops and one-off help
Group training runs $500–$1,500 per session, or $50–$200 per seat. Hourly consulting ($150–$200/hr) is available when scope is genuinely undefined, though a fixed-scope package is almost always the better deal for both of us.
Prefer to start on your own?
Accounts Slayable is my self-serve product line: finance templates and tools for freelancers and very small teams, from $19. It is the low-commitment way in, and it ladders up to the consulting here when you outgrow it.
Not sure where to start?
Most clients begin with a Financial Operations Assessment: a flat-fee, two-week review of your books, cash flow, compliance, and the places automation would pay off. You keep the written roadmap whether or not we work together after that.
